Battery storage connects to your home's electrical system, so the work is electrical. Verify any contractor's license class and status at cslb.ca.gov before you sign.
License and permit
Kilowire holds CSLB #1110475 with C-10 (Electrical) and B (General Building) classes. We pull and manage the permit; the agency depends on your city.
SGIP and other incentives
The Self-Generation Incentive Program has offered battery incentives, but funding, steps, and amounts change and depend on your situation. Check the program's current rules; we can supply scope and equipment documents.
Manufacturer warranty
Battery makers set their own installer and warranty terms. Confirm them for the product you choose.
Battery permits depend on your city.
Some jurisdictions use online or automated permitting for solar and storage, and others use standard plan check. Timing and fees are set by the agency. Large batteries can also trigger fire-department or structural requirements. Confirm for your property; we handle the submittal.
