Kilowire Electric is a DBA of Skill See Services Inc., a California corporation based in Whittier. We hold an active CSLB license in both General Building (B) and Electrical (C-10) classifications, and we're focused on building one of LA County's most reliable electrical and smart home contracting brands.
Our story
Kilowire Electric was launched as a focused brand for our electrical and smart home work. The same people, license, and standards behind Skill See Services — but with a dedicated team, dedicated phone line, and a sole focus on what we do best: electrical work and smart home integration.
The reason for the separate brand is simple. General contractors who could hire us as an electrical subcontractor were seeing "Skill See Services — General Contractor & Remodeling" and worrying we'd compete with them. Now they see Kilowire Electric — a focused C-10 specialty contractor — and they hire us with confidence.
What we do
We do two things, and we do them well:
High-voltage electrical work — panel upgrades, EV charger installation, solar interconnection, service calls, and emergency electrical. Permitted, inspected, and warrantied.
Smart home and low-voltage — Lutron and Control4 integration, smart LED lighting design, security camera systems, and structured cabling. All performed under our C-10 license, which legally covers low-voltage data, video, and security cabling work in California.
What we don't do
Monitored alarm systems with 24/7 central station monitoring require an Alarm Company Operator license through the California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS). Fire alarm systems require additional certification through the State Fire Marshal under Title 19 §764. We refer those to specialized partners and stick to what our license covers.
Our license
We carry an active CSLB license #1110475 with both General Building (B) and Electrical (C-10) classifications. The license is held by Skill See Services Inc., of which Kilowire Electric is a registered DBA. We carry $1M general liability insurance, workers' compensation coverage, and a contractor's bond through American Contractors Indemnity Company (#100995039). License and insurance certificates are available on request — and you can verify our license directly at cslb.ca.gov.

We're based in Whittier and serve LA County and the East San Gabriel Valley. Our most-served cities include Whittier, Pico Rivera, Montebello, Downey, Norwalk, Bellflower, Cerritos, La Mirada, Pasadena, Long Beach, West Covina, and Los Angeles, plus the affluent SGV suburbs of Diamond Bar, Walnut, Glendora, Claremont, San Dimas, La Habra Heights, Hacienda Heights, and Rowland Heights. We also occasionally work in nearby Orange County (La Habra, Brea, Fullerton).
